Why did I decide to take over the Irish Pub Trier and continue it as the Old Dublin Pub Trier?

From the very beginning, the Irish Pub in Trier was my local. It has drawn me back again and again over the years. Unfortunately, over time, I noticed that the business was continually being run down. As a trained restaurateur, I found this a great shame, especially since the Irish Pub had so much potential. Finally, when it was on the verge of closure, I decided to contact the landlords (Radeberger Brewery Group) with the ultimate goal of taking over the Irish Pub, steadily rebuilding it, and once again offering guests a positive and compelling experience. I finally succeeded in doing so in September 2023 .

From then on, I was able to present the new "Old Dublin Trier" Irish Pub to guests with complete dedication and passion, working daily to rebuild trust and continuity. It's important to me to provide value to my guests.

What fascinates me so much about Ireland?

I have always loved the cozy pub culture there with its living room atmosphere and am fascinated by this mystical, nostalgic, and rustic "Emerald Isle."

Who am I?

I'm a humorous, proactive, and meticulous person. As an entrepreneur, I'm very goal-oriented, conscientious, sociable, and fair. I always make considered decisions and think things through. I enjoy familiar routines and enjoy caring for others.

What is important to me as a restaurateur?

As a restaurateur, it's important to me that guests move away from this "old-fashioned" mentality of Irish pubs. Our drinks menu features a diverse, broad, and deep selection of different beverages. For example, we offer our guests fine wines from regional and international producers. Although we are an Irish pub, we are located in Trier, in the Moselle wine region. We also offer over 30 different cocktails, numerous long drinks, and seven different beers on tap. So there's something for everyone.

On the food front, we offer "beer-accompanying dishes" such as delicious tarte flambée or pizzas. Starting in June 2025, guests can also order our homemade Old Dublin Guinness Stew or our Vegetarian Stew. We want to keep our menu simple and small, as our focus is clearly on serving drinks.

What else do I have planned for the future?

In the future, we plan to offer merchandise from Old Dublin Trier for sale. We also plan to participate in the Old Town Festival and the Zurlauben Mosel Festival with an Irish beer stand.
