Danny Menezes is originally from Juazeiro do Norte in Ceará, Brazil, but grew up in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, where he first encountered music. At the age of 15, he was already playing in a band with school friends, and by 17, he was already a professional guitarist, playing in several local bands and accompanying renowned Brazilian artists.

Years later, already well-known in the RN music scene, he became a producer and produced records for several local and international artists. Already in his solo career as a singer, he opened concerts for major Brazilian artists, including:

  • Ed Motta,

  • Adriana Calcanhoto,

  • Jorge Vercilo,

  • Geraldo Azevedo,

  • Ze Ramalho,

  • Roupas Nova and others.

For the sun

He regularly participated in local television and radio programs, and his first demo, "por do sol," was played on university radio for years. He shared the stage with Biquini Cavadão and Aviões do Forró at one of Brazil's largest music festivals, EXPOCRATO 2006, playing to an estimated audience of 42,000 people. In 2007, at the age of 27, he moved to the southeast, to Rio de Janeiro, which became his new home.

With his charisma and energy, he quickly conquered Mém de Sá, one of the most famous streets in Brazil's bohemian Lapa district, where he performed for two consecutive years. He played in the best venues for the artistic elite in Lapa and Rio de Janeiro.

Popular Brazilian Party

Immediately after his first season in Rio, he was invited to perform on cruise ships. Upon returning to land, he began putting the production experience he gained on board into practice, applying it to various projects for which he received strong support in the city. His biggest projects, however, were the Mansão Popular Brasileira and the Bar MPB, where he initially assisted Bruno Galvão (director and creator) in his production.

He recorded and released his first official album in the second half of 2016 under the direction of the well-known bassist and producer Nema Antunes with the participation of great musicians and artists such as João Castilho, Marco Brito, Ivan Lins, João Bani, Jorge Vercilo, Maria Betânia, Mac William Caetano, Cassia Eller, Adriana Calcanhoto . He decided to set out again and went to Europe, where he further developed his musical and professional knowledge.

Currently living in Lisbon, Danny has performed in Germany, Spain, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands, and this year he plans to perform in as many countries as possible, always seeking new challenges. He has dedicated himself to producing his literary work, which is increasingly filling streaming platforms and receiving praise from those who are listening to him for the first time or those who already know him, observing his daily growth.
